Welsh Herbal Medicine
Welsh Herbal Medicine. 80 pages £3.30
Welsh Herbal Medicine introduces us to many of the common medicinally used herbal plants in Wales. The book is based on the herbal lore of the old herbalists of Wales, the Physicians of Myddfai. A look at their historical roots is followed by the story of the Lady of the Lake, their legendary origin. Their code of practice, medical maxims, laws and techniques are explored. Welsh Herbal Medicine includes an aid to identification of fifty of the most commonly used herbs and their modern medical use. This is as well as the way the Physicians used them and their folk history.
